It was such a great surprise to see John and his beautimus girlfriend, Alisha, on Sunday! We are both from New Bern and our moms were best friends, I am 6 years older than him and used to babysit him and my sister. John is moving to Okinawa for 2 years and came up to visit my sister this weekend before leaving. They swung by to see us and we made them model, he was wearing a comfy grey sweatshirt with a bright orange shirt underneath and luckily under that he had on his white shirt. She was looking beautiful just the way she was!
I am so proud of him and it is sooo great to see these two so happy and in love! You could see the sparks between their lips as they smooched and the twinkle in their eyes as they looked at one another. We didn’t have to prompt a thing with these two, they would just be walking and he would unexpectedly swoop her up and she would just melt in his arms. We love and will miss you, Be SAFE!

I have known Heather since I was first dating John in 1998, she has always been such a wonderful friend even though I don’t see her that often. I still remember her giving me a super toot bathing suit with grass on it from Corolla Surf Shop right after I met her, I was blown away!
Since then she has had 2 beautiful kiddos, lives in Martinsville, VA, is my graphic designer and she and Jason have started Hello My Sweet. They create custom party decor or you can purchase party printables from Etsy. I love the vintage circus and Star Wars themes! They have tons others but those are my favorites besides ours of course! They work with you to come up with a theme for your party and then they bake the cakes/cupcakes, make all the food, set it up, create the place cards, food cards and clean it all up! Couldn’t have a more fun, easy and beautiful party!

All the food was delicious and it couldn’t have been more perfect especially since I HATE to cook! Homemade cooking with a fun flair!
The beautiful cake was rainbow colored inside!
The pancakes were such a hit, the kids loved the colors!
What a genius idea for the silverware, rainbow and cloud on the front with the napkin as the blue sky and salt and pepper on the back!

They even stay throughout the party to replenish things as needed, prompt cake cutting, pick up and to make sure everything runs smoothly!

These two are adorable!! He proposed to her at her mama’s home on Christmas day, she didn’t even know he was coming to see her and he showed up with a ring! And a beautimus ring at that, good job, Ricky!!! He adores fishing and boats so the farm was perfect!
We are super excited to welcome Candace Owens to our team of photographers! She is an amazingly talented painter and artist as well as a mom to two awesome kiddos who we adore! She has been second shooting with us for a year now, here are some of her images from this shoot. It was such a treat to play with Melanie and Joe yesterday at Sanctuary Vineyards! She hasn’t ridden a bike since she was a little one but you would have never have known it! I can’t wait for their wedding at The Sanderling next June!!!

Dean + Leslie came over to Sanctuary Vineyards over the weekend to create the perfect blend of wines for their wedding! Leslie favorite was the Wild Pony White and they also loved the Coastal Collage. All the different wines donate their proceeds to a charity, NEST and The Wild Horse Fund are just a couple. They got to go through and sample different wines from the barrels and stainless tanks, adding more or less of each variety depending on their taste to create their very own wedding wine.
