I have been looking forward to Sarah + Doug’s wedding for sooo long now!! I was TERRIFIED Hurricane Earl was going to prevent it from going on as they had planned… I was expecting to hear from them earlier in the week, Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest… but no, they are so incredibly laid back, I didn’t hear from them until Friday, when they forwarded an email their wedding planner, Emma Wilson, had sent. No panicked phone calls, no emails, NO worries! I think I was more stressed than they were!! I can’t wait to share their wedding photos, but for now, here are some of their Trash The Dress session… LOVE that they went in the pool and ocean, they are so much fun and total rockstars!!! Thanks like crazy for frolicking with me!!

This weekend we had one of the most amazing weddings ever in Edisto Island at the Cypress Trees Plantation! I will be posting photos soon, but I couldn’t resist a sneak peak at some of their Trash the Dress photos at Botany Bay. It was such a gorgeous location! Their were tons of dead oak trees in the ocean, conch shells, birds…. Jess’ zipper broke at her wedding and we thought we fixed it but it completely broke while we were shooting, she was such a trooper, she held it up with her arms or Brad did while they were nuggling and you can’t even tell!! Quite impressive!
While we love, love, love shooting here at the Outer Banks, it’s always such a treat to travel to a completely new location!! Stay tuned for their wedding photos!!

I had soooooo much fun shooting these models with my associate Carrie. Kim and Wes with Holiday house, helped with all the outfits and flowers! The location was beautiful, we could have shot there all day!!! Here are some of my faves from that day…. I just adore these inside the old door!
And this on the steps of the run down house…
These next few are sporting some HOT little black dresses!
And of course we had to throw the girls into the water for a bit of modeling! So much fun.
And here are some of my faves that Carrie took that day! I think this one is wonderful.
Carrie loved this old tree stump.
Hot mamas….
Wes made this beautiful green dress, and we took it and the model everywhere in it… here are a few….
This land had several large live oak trees to play with, here are a few examples…. I love the one with the bride up in the tree, that was too cool, except Wes promised to help her down and then left her up there…. but we got her down anyway!!
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped with this! It was so much fun and we ended up with so many wonderful pictures!!

This little girl was sooo much fun! I love the idea of bringing different outfits to wear and encouraging the children to frolic in the sand and the ocean!! This allows me to capture a child’s natural personality. I’m so excited that Reece went into the water. I hope she had as much fun as I did!!! Check out the little cutie!
A future bride of mine, Miss Corey has encouraged me to stop being a closet dress trasher…. I’ve come out! We are featured on www.trashthedress.com Subscribe to get their newsletters, you will LOVE seeing all the amazing couples and photos that are shown! Maybe you’ll get some ideas…. hee hee.
So, the question has been asked… what happens to the dress after the trashing? I spoke with Kerri Beth last night and they made a bassinet for their beebster who’s due on May 25th. She had the bottom part of the dress made into the skirt and the top of the dress made into the hood of the bassinet. Now that’s the BEST idea I’ve ever heard of!!!!

Because it was super duper cold on Tiffani and Kyle’s wedding day, we spent a couple of hours on Sunday frolicking around the beach. We began at a closed golf course, went to Tortuga’s (where they had a fun shark cocktail), on to Coquina Beach, Bodie Lighthouse and finally the Wright Brother’s Memorial. Annias (the fabulous doggie friend) joined us in the limo on our adventures. Tiffani even bought two dresses so we could go play anywhere… thanks little lady!! Enjoy their slideshow!
