Double Trouble!

by Brooke on May 15, 2012

I was soooo excited to meet these two boys, we photographed Megan + Michael’s wedding 4 years ago, and are soooo incredibly honored to be able to document their new fammy sammy!
Wyatt, Zachary and their first born, Calli are three peas in a pod. The boys love laying there watching Calli and she likes to run off and explore, come back, sniff them, give them kisses and then head out again. They are going to have fun growing up together!
Mom + Dad have mastered TEEEEEEAAAAAMMMM WORK! When one boy starts to get fussy without looking at each other they break out in the exact same song and the kiddos get quiet, listen and smile, it’s like magic. They make parenting look so easy, especially for 2!
Thank you like crazy for having me out to play with you!

Portrait Party for Relay For Life

by Brooke on May 1, 2012

We had the best time at the portrait party on Sunday! Renee Landry set up the most amazing backdrops, the lemonade stand and teepee were our favorites but they were all stinkin’ adorable!!! Pledger’s Palace organized it all for their student’s and families with the proceeds benefiting Relay For Life. If you are looking for a preschool, this is a fabulous one! Wonderful teachers in large classrooms, it is crazy clean and super duper secure.
All the families were so sweet and the kiddos were soooooo well behaved, listened and were in the best mood, despite it being a bit chilly! It was wondersum to meet everyone, thank you so much for coming to play with us and for supporting Relay for Life!

Happy 1st Birthday Logie!

by Brooke on April 29, 2012

Wow. I can’t believe Logan is a year old already, it doesn’t seem possible! Here are his newborn photos, and him at 6 months and 9 months. He is the happiest little fella, always ready with a smile and giggles!

Tara + Eddie are so creative, I just adore all the details they created for Logan’s first birthday party! My favorite is the nutritional value on the back of the water bottles!

And the marshmallows… adorable!

The Elmo ball tent was such a hit!

Logie’s whale smash cake was the most adorable cake ever! He had a ball eating and playing in it, he wanted nothing more than to kiss his dad and to get icing all over both of them!

Uh-OH Spaghetti Os!

He also got a wagon for his birthday, perfect place to rip open all his gifts! Of course, the paper on the gifts was the BEST part!

Thank you like crazy for having me document his party! Happy birthday to him and to yall, you were working super hard a year ago this time! xo

Daddy’s 65th Surprise Birthday Party!

by Brooke on April 24, 2012

Whew, it was a busy weekend! We started with my dad’s 65th birthday party, Carrie + Candace had a beautimus wedding at The Sanderling and Sunday at 9am we had Poppy’s birthday party. Yes, I know, it was early, but I’m not a schedule keeper and it’s the only time during the day I know she will be awake. We did reward grown ups with mimosas for getting up, getting ready and coming to play so early!
My dad had no idea we were having a party for him! Hunter and Olivia with “I Got You Crabs” brought over hundreds of crabs earlier in the day, these are his favorites. We had hard and soft shell. We told him some friends were coming over but he had no idea it was his friends! The guest appearance were Ed and Margaret who he was great friends with when we lived in Corolla in the early 1980′s. He hasn’t seen them since then! Bill and Carol and Janet and Carl are his other besties who came to play. I can’t believe these two couples kept it a secret! John and I had a guest appearance from our friends and my amazing editor from Vermont, Sarie and Chris. This was her first crab picking and she did great! The crabs got loose all over the kitchen floor and we found one we hadn’t caught 2 days after the party hiding under the sink, scared us to pieces and gave us a good laught!
Thank you so much to each and every one of you who came to celebrate with us, we love you all!

The only survivor!

3 + 1 = 4

by Brooke on March 28, 2012

I got the chance to photograph Kiri’s beautimus belly when she was pregnant and it was so fun to see her carrying their second beebster. She is just gorgeous, nothing but a basketball in the front, I wanted to snuggle her myself!
Miko is 3 and a riot! She loved feeding the birds at the park, there was a goose that kept hissing at her but it didn’t faze her a bit! She had the best time on the playground swinging and sliding, what better thing to do on such a beautiful day?!
I also got to see Miko’s new big girl room, complete with a fabulous comforter that has “diggers” on it. She adores tractors!
Thank you for having me over to play with yall, can’t wait to meet your little bean!

Jacob is 1 Year Old!

by Brooke on March 15, 2012

I know babies grow so quickly but not seeing Jacob since he was 6 months old and seeing him now at a year old, he is sooooo big and grown up! Standing, saying Dada, he has the sweetest little grin that looks just like his mama!
He loved the balloons, he wanted to eat them sooo badly! But the cake smash was our favorite, he put his hands, feet and whole body into it! His mama even had to cut his outfit off of him as it was sooo messy!
Thank you for having me over to capture him at 1 year old! Happy birthday to Jacob, Mama and Daddy! I know it’s been an amazing year full of learning, fun and surprises! Can’t wait to see what he’s up to at 18 months!

Blaine + Reece’s Cup

by Brooke on March 12, 2012

I can’t believe Blaine is 3! I photographed his sister on the Outer Banks in Duck (a Trash The Tutu session to be exact) when she was three and he wasn’t a twinkle in his parent’s eyes yet! I was so excited to get a call that not only did they have another beebster but he was the same age she was when I last saw them! He is soooo cute, a little ham as long as the wind wasn’t blowing 50mph, which it was while we were in the fields! It was much warmer in the greenhouse and behind the barns which was perfect as they made fun backdrops!
They are both so sweet, full of hugs and kisses and lots of giggly faces. Thanks for bringing all the mega toot outfits, hats and most importantly for sharing your beebsters with us!
