We have been so excited to photograph Anna and Bucky’s wedding! I got to photograph them and their three doggie friends in Nags Head last year and since then Bucky proposed at The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, which is where they had their destination wedding.
Anna and her ladybugs got ready in the Cove overlooking the Caribbean Sea and all of the Atlantis Resort, the view was breathtaking!
Anna wore the most gorgeous gown that had a low back and a perfect slit up the side along with high heels with Peacock feathers, they were so elegant!
We took the elevator down 15 stories, which my knees were knocking on the way up but there was so much happening on our way down, I didn’t even notice the height!
Bucky got ready with his groomsmen in one of their suites. He and Anna wanted to be traditional so they had not seen each other since 11:55pm in the casino the night before. No calls or texts. They did exchange gifts and Anna made Bucky the sweetest hand made card.
He wore velvet Italian shoes and of course his Peacock tie to match Anna’s shoes.
After the boys were ready, they had a bit of time before the shuttle to the ceremony site. Candace took them to the casino, where she risked life and limb to get a few pictures of Bucky gambling his wedding date numbers at the roulette table.
Our groom had the best facial expressions! He was cracking us up! He had not seen one single detail of Anna’s wedding dress, so he was all smiles as she made her way up the aisle with her pops, Big Matt!
The Cloister Monastery was gorgeous! We wanted to make sure we captured every part of it during their ceremony. In traditional Bahamian fashion, immediately following the ceremony, the bride and groom were seated at a table to sign papers making their nuptials official.
Anna used to nanny for these two little girls and they are very close to them. Anna is like a very close aunt and Bucky plays the part of the super duper fun uncle!
We rode with the bride and groom back to Fathoms in the Atlantis Resort where their reception was.
“Get lo’ to the flo'” was a frequent saying floating around the wedding party on their week stay in the Bahamas. Candace used this motto when trying to capture the most fun light for the pic of them sitting on the bar with the jelly fish floating by. We love that they were so fun and up for anything we suggested! It never hurts to ask, right?!
Anna and her daddy pants had the sweetest first dance, there is something so special about the love a dad has for his babies!
The Aquarium was the perfect location for their reception, the little girls had a ball watching the fish and stingrays all evening!
They both surprised us with a messy and fun cake cutting!
We wanted to get the two of them up to the walkway connecting the two buildings, however, we didn’t realize that used to be Michael Jackson’s suite which rents for 25k/night with a 4 night minimum! Needless to say, our idea didn’t work but this was just as gorgeous!
Wishing you a lifetime of love and snuggles!!
